Abstract
1,4,8,11-Tetrakis(methyldiphenylphosphino)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (TPTA) reacts with molybdenum(0) and tungsten(0) hexacarbonyls to give yellow crystalline diamagnetic complexes of the formula [M(CO)4]2TPTA. Each metal atom in these binuclear species is coordinated by two phosphorus atoms from the pendant methyldiphenylphosphino groups and by four carbonyls in a cis octahedral arrangement.
